We ended the session with a specific challenge. You chose something that you would love to work on for the next couple weeks. In research they found that somewhere between 22 and 66 days your new challenge will become a habit. If you ask me, that is definitely worth the try!

Shut your mouth, save your live

Throughout the session we already shortly discussed the importance of chewing, being relaxed when you eat etc.

But how can you work on this yourself?

For me, Joep, it was really beneficial to start meditating in the morning to make it more easy for my body to switch between action and relaxation. The more you practice this, the better you will become at it. 

This book helped me to learn how to meditate. Also awesome as a start for you deepdive into the topic after nutrition: relaxation.

Mindless Eating

This book is a must read on why we eat more than we think and why it is so important to create your food pyramid once in a while.

Ademhaling

Another awesome way to find some relaxation just before you eat is to practice box breathing. In the video below you can try it out.
